MUD LOGGING – GEOLOGICAL FUNCTIONS
Services provided include geological and formation evaluation based on continuous cuttings description, Fluorescence Testing, analysis of Chromatograph and Total Gas readings. Continuous monitoring of the drilling operation facilitates early detection of any changes in critical parameters and quick reaction – thus saving time and money. Data acquisition, display, storage and processing is available at the driller’s monitor on the rig floor and in the toolpusher’s or the company representative’s office. A comprehensive library of software programmes that yield information on formation pore pressure, fracture gradients and hydraulics, provide further technical assistance. A record of bit usage and cost is made with the compilation of a final Well Report.
MUD LOGGING – SURFACE DATA MEASUREMENT
Measurement and data recording include depth, bit location, rate of penetration, hookload, weight on bit, RPM, rotary torque, pump pressure, casing pressure, pump-strokes, pit volumes, flow rate, mud weight, and mud temperature. Options data includes mud conductivity, pH and electromagnetic flow meter readings.
MUD LOGGING – GAS ANALYSIS
Gases are separated from the mud by a specially-designed Constant Flow Extractor placed at the shale shaker. The gas/air mixture is analysed by TCD-based Field Chromatograph or Total Gas equipment and more complex FID-based analysers.
DRILLING FLUIDS AND MUD ENGINEERING SERVICES
Wells Energy Ltd is one of the largest drilling fluids service providers and chemical suppliers in the Middle East, and offers cost effective mud engineering solutions for drilling complications like shale inhibition, abnormal pressure and temperature using both water and oil-based mud. Wells Energy Ltd has also successfully engineered wells demanding the use of carefully balanced chemical formulations in order to control sub-surface pressures and to perform a variety of other essential down-hole functions. Wells Energy Ltd has experience in drilling exploratory, appraisal and development wells, both vertical and horizontal. The company has wide experience in formulating drilling fluids for drilling complex geology with high H2S content and high temperatures. The result has been a rapid increase in the number of drilling contractors and operator company clients – with Wells Energy Ltd having drilled more than 3000 wells in Oman and Qatar.

DRILLING FLUIDS – LABORATORY SERVICES
Wells Energy Ltd operates dedicated laboratory facilities, managed by qualified and experienced chemists, to carry out tests and analysis on well fluids and chemicals for operational and quality control purposes. These tests are performed both on the client’s request and for quality assurance of chemicals. Laboratory work evaluates the behaviour of
chemicals and drilling fluid formulations under simulated ‘downhole’ conditions of temperature and pressure. Our chemists undertake R&D work to develop new products and formulations for field applications. The laboratories are also utilised to train new engineers.
DRILLING FLUIDS – CHEMICAL SUPPLIES
Wells Energy Ltd has a wide-ranging experience in a complete range of drilling fluids additives such as De-emulsifiers, De-oilers, H2S scavengers, Scale/Corrosion inhibitors, Oxygen scavengers, Biocides and Drag reducers for specific field and crude requirements. Since 2014, Wells Energy Ltd provides wire-line units for oil & gas exploration. These units are fully equipped to provide services like memory production logging tools, data acquisition and zone changing.
Wireline comes as a 0.108 and 0.125 inch standard size that can be changed to any other standard size to meet the equirements of ‘downhole’ conditions. All instruments are regularly test, calibrated and inspection under strict quality control conditions to ensure both integrity and readiness of the unit.

ELECTRONIC DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEMS (EDAS)
These systems include Memory Production and Logging Multi-Finger Callipers and pressure surveys. EDAS are not just cost-effective but also save a lot of time in terms of diagnostic and reservoir monitoring needs. This expertise is fully customizable and can be extended to vertical, horizontal and slickline well bore applications (on Coiled Tubing).
The report package is also customized, and includes traditional AAPI strip logs, comprehensive bound reports with multipurpose interpretation.
MEMORY PRODUCTION LOGGING
This includes Production/Injection Profiles, Leak Detection Logs, Gas Lift Surveys, and a variety of other diagnostic procedures that can be provide E-line (Electrical line) quality logs can be obtained at very cost effective prices.
PRESSURE SURVEYS
These surveys include long-term build up/draw down tests, and are conducted by specialized personnel and equipment. Full analysis services are available with the industry-best standard software, quartz crystal capacitance and sapphire gauges with highly accurate analysis.
